Darkened Spell
Deep down in the heart of a little girl's soul
There is aching and quaking and darkness about
A half glass empty is never half full
And little girl screams are so hard to get out
But follow me, follow me
To the depths of despair
Learn first-hand
Of Satan's dark glare
And soon as you rise
And you open your eyes
Let your heart skip a beat
Sink your soul to your feet
And drink my blue potion
For all the things good
I'll tell you your future
As I promised I would
And you'll walk away
With vision anew
And remember that day
I cast a spell upon you
Fantastic job. How long have you been writing for?
ReplyDeleteThanks, I am glad you liked it. I have been writing for quite a while... Since I was like 10. Only just recently have I been feeling satisfied with my work. I like this poem because I usually struggle with writing in rhyme schemes and much prefer the looser and rule-less Freestyle or Spoken Word formats. When I do write a poem like this, with proper syllable count, rhythm, and rhymes, I am ecstatic. This is one of the few gems that years of writing can achieve.
DeleteThat's great. I remember having a similar feeling about my skill with piano, I never felt like any of my compositions where good enough, and even when they did sound good I played them so much that they ended up sounding annoying and repetitive. But again, keep up the good work, your doing awesome.
